CFNA GRINDER AFFILIATE CHALLENGE 14 June 08 : Last we counted, online registration was 219. That's TWO HUNDRED NINETEEN whackjob CrossFitters! We ran 5 or 6-person heats every 5 minutes. YOU do the math because my head is still reeling. The CFNA GRINDER workout was: row 500m, thrusters x 10reps, dumbell carry up the hill (we call that mutha the "widowmaker) -- drop a dumbell pay a burpee, 1 Cindy round, dumbell carry down, drag a tire w/chain up the hill, another cindy round, carry tire down, flip a tractor tire 10 times, box jumps x 15 reps, wallball shots x 15 reps, run 500m. Finisher: drink beer.

CF Cert Decatur Sonz Feb 9-10 2008 : 65ish attendees at the Level I CF Cert at Decatur Sonz (Church Street). Coach Glassman shared his wisdom, Nicole, Dave and other CF-celebrities led us through intricate precision-tweaking of foundation moves. Saturday, the wo was '400 thrusters, 400m run, 200 pullups, 400m run'. Don't worry, it wasn't an Angie-on-Crack thang -- it was a tag-team effort. A motley crew of CFNA/CFATLiens took the silver! (TReX, TommyGun, Chris Lowell, Ian, AF-Tom. Jason was loaner secret-weapon to another team) Many trainers we knew were helping out at the cert, Dan & MikeG from CFATL (Alli, Ian, Chris L. were getting their cert) -- Melissa, Jeff, JillyG from BTB CF (Stacy was getting her cert). Got to meet a lot of folks we'd only previously cyber met,... Todd's wife Dana frm Sonz Palm Beach Gardens in FL -- Yvette from Niceville, FL (Kath's mom lives), and the illustrious Hannah & Shana from Decatur Sonz (whom Kath had met on myspace). The pretty pix are at the Sonz Beer-fest Saturday night with photo ops with our heros. Sunday's wo was '7 rounds of 10 med-ball cleans, 10 burpees'. Real killer. AF-Tom took one of the top spots with a 7:39. Kath's major complaint? NONE OF THE GUYS TOOK THEIR SHIRTS OFF!!! Wass up with THAT?!
